Watch for these early signs: No priming buzz on ignition — Turn the key and listen for ~2 seconds of pump pre-pressurisation. Silence indicates pump motor failure. Riding mode inconsistency — The RTR 310's Sport, Track, Urban, Rain, and Supermoto modes rely on precise fuel delivery via the ride-by-wire system. A weakening pump causes erratic power delivery especially at high RPM. Hard cold starts — Multiple cranks needed before the 312cc engine fires on cold mornings. Stalling at low fuel levels — Clogged strainer causing engine stall at idle when tank is low.
