No priming buzz on ignition — Turn the key and listen for the brief buzzing sound from under the fuel tank. Silence indicates the eAuto pump motor is not activating — most common failure sign on older V1 units. Engine cranks but won't start — Pump failure prevents fuel from reaching the injector. The engine turns over but never fires. Fuel gauge stuck on Full or Empty — The float sensor inside the assembly wears out on older bikes. A faulty gauge can cause you to run out of fuel unexpectedly. Engine cuts out at high RPM — Insufficient fuel pressure under load — the pump struggles to maintain pressure as RPM climbs. Hard starting after the bike sits unused — An ageing pump loses its ability to hold residual pressure, requiring extended cranking after periods of inactivity. eAuto Tip: The R15 V1 is now 15+ years old.
